About Me
My name is Craig Barlow, I have recently completed my degree in Business Information Technology from Aberystwyth University.
I have been interested in website development since the first semester of my degree, I am particularly interested in the front-end creation of websites primarily using HTML and CSS, although I am also able to develop website effects and functions using the jQuery library and PHP.
My preferred design choice for my websites to be clean and simple, while still being attractive and professional. I proudly focus all of my websites to be W3C standard compliant in XHTML, HTML5 and CSS2/3 front-end web development. Each website I develop is created from the ground up, to be search engine friendly and accessible by all users.
I am currently looking for work within the web industry, in hope to further my skills in website design and development and also to start a career in this field of work. Below I have provided download links of my CV in both .pdf and .doc formats, and also a version created in HTML.
I Specialize In The Following Areas
- xHTML/CSS Website Development - Hand coded websites that are W3C Standards compliant. Websites are in all major browsers and operating systems to ensure both cross browser and platform compatability.
- Mobile Website Development - Once i have completed your website for desktop viewing, i am also able to provide a mobile equivalent website. Best viewed using an Ipone or Android mobile.
- Search Engine Optimization - I code my websites with SEO in mind, code that helps your website be higher in web search results.
- Accessability - The websites will be developed with accessability and useability in consideration, website will be easy to navigate throughout and be able to be navigated by anyone with accessability problems.
- HTML5/CSS3 - If needed, i am also able to code websites in, and using the improved features of the new HTML5 and CSS3 coding standards.

Balloon Shooter
Description
A simple mouse click-able game I created in my second year of university using Adobe Flash and ActionScript. The game allows players to upload their names and scores to a MySQL database and view a list of all in the form of a high scores table.

Games Web-Store
Description
As part of my degree, I was required to create a simple web store that connected to an SQL database and showed items stored in the database onto the web-page. Users were then required to be able to select items and add them to the shopping cart, where all items would be listed and the the total price calculated.

Unbelievable Tekkers
Description
A personal website I created for my University football team, developed to display the teams fixtures, league statistics and achievements so that they could easily be viewed by team members and potential players. I also went on to use this website for a second year university project, that focused on the usability of websites.

Description
The first website I created was part of a first year module I studied. A simple 3 page website consisting of information about me and an HTML version of my CV. The website also included a simple JavaScript text box that would display the time of day and the name entered into the text field.
